Reimagined for Doel Festival,'Corridor' is a new iteration of 'Passerelle',a performance originally developed for Project Space Festival Berlin.

Set in Doel, an abandoned village caught between erasure and revitalisation, this new version keeps asking urgent questions about resistance and rebellion:
how to resist, how to stay present, how to respond to a political reality shaped by authoritarian control, systemic violence and the ongoing annihilation of dissent.

Where 'Passerelle' originally drew its inspiration from Sophocles’ Antigone and the visceral act of Christophe Dettinger defending a woman during the Gilets Jaunes uprising on the passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor,'Corridor' shifts its attention to space and architecture.
Here, Alexandre Bavard’s primary gesture is the construction of a tunnel that acts as a temporal breach - a DIY stargate - through which histories of struggle can be revisited and rewritten.
Engaging with science-fiction and post-apocalyptic imaginaries, this tunnel speaks about underground forms of existence, hidden systems, in-between spaces - places in which resistance continue to survive under pressure, outside visibility and outside permission.
